Where to Stay Suggestions
Please reach out to Kelly or Jeff if you need help with finding a place to stay.We are not doing a hotel block, but there are lots of options at any budget in Portland.
Here are some ideas:
Hotels
The Kennedy SchoolThis is a McMenamins hotel, which is a Portland-based company that restores old buildings all over Oregon and Washington. The Kennedy School used to be an elementary school, and has it all- multiple restaurants, bars, a cool soaking pool, and a movie theater. It is located in the Alberta Arts area, which is where Jeff was born and fun to explore!
Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center
This is a newer hotel that is in the center of everything. Located in the Lloyd district and close to public transit via the MAX, this hotel has easy access to many areas of Portland.
Hampton Inn & Suites Portland - Pearl District
A list of hotel options would not be complete without the reliable “Hamster Inn” (as Todd Newman calls it). Fun area, the “fancier” part of downtown Portland. Great restaurants, bars, and shopping to be had!
The Society Hotel- Portland
This hotel is very cool! It is located in Old Town Portland, which can be a little “adventurous”, but is less than a mile from the Portland Art Museum and is also very close to a MAX Station (Portland’s public transit). The hotel itself is a bit of a boutique vibe and used to be a sailor’s hotel. They offer an array of room types, including bunk rooms for an affordable option.
